Messages Minister Technical Education

I have great pleasure in acknowledging the efforts of the Punjab Technical University which has embarked upon newer technologies in its Distance Education Programme to empower the students in attaining knowledge and skills through this flexible mode of education. The technical and professional courses being offered by the University are enabling the students to attain higher qualifications while working at the same time to earn a decent living.

I am happy to know that more than 1800 students of PTU Distance Education Programme have been appointed as computer teachers in Government schools of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir and many others are employed in large multinational companies. The education imparted through these courses is relevant to the present day needs of the global work environment and a large number of students have attained gainful employment abroad as well.

....I congratulate the faculty, Learning Centers and Regional Centers involved in preparing these students to achieve great success in their career through this programme. I would also advise the students to adapt to the newer methodologies and technology to enhance their skills through this programme.       The Government and its related department will facilitate the University in carrying forward this programme for the benefit of all students enrolled under this programme.
