Dear Students & Parents,

It gives me an immense pleasure to know that you have given PTU Distance Education Program a chance to nurture your future.
Punjab Technical University is one of the universities to take up the oath of imparting education to all. As we all know that in today’s competitive world it has become imperative to have professional or technical knowledge. In order to cater this to you PTU Distance Education Program was launched. Here we try to cast each of our students into speckles professional. We do not give the traditional way of teaching; instead, we try to inculcate the habit of self-learning process among our students using various interactive learning tools like CBT, LMS etc. apart from direct teaching methods.  Through this program we want to educate the students about the world of endless opportunities. Our system of education is designed in such a manner that it can suit to all the difficulties that a student has to bear while pursuing any technical education. In short we have tried to eradicate all the reasons of student drop outs. They may learn and achieve their goal of higher education at their own pace and opportunity of studies.

Not only this, there are various other inputs that have been added in this system. The most challenging one is exam conduction, for which the university is going to introduce a Technology Center in every exam center where the question paper shall be delivered through web-site before exam time without any human intervention.

Education today has become very expensive and all the parents are not able to afford the cost of studies because they have to educate all their children. PTU is a university which is established with the mission to provide technical education to all sections of the society and especially to those who have left their education due to lack of finance, distance and other such obstacles of life. We want to give them a second chance to achieve their goals of higher education. Taking this responsibility we are moving forward to overcome other challenges. PTU distance education is a structured system of providing technical education which is flexible in approach, affordable by all and easy to learn with continuous efforts.
